CPO Classes
Dolphin Pools is now offering Certified Pool Operator classes. Whether it is for one or many, we can get you the required CPO certification. If you have a larger group we can work with you on a group discount and location of your choice if needed. Please let us know if you are in need of a new certification or refresher class. All commercial pools need to have a Certified Pool Operator on staff with a current certification posted. We can also help with your daily log and check lists.

CPO certification courses are designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. The Certified Pool/Spa Operator certification program has delivered more training than any other program in the pool and spa industry since 1972, resulting in more than 200,000 successful CPO certifications in 44 countries.
The CPO certification program is widely accepted by health departments. The NSPF Pool & Spa Operator Handbook, 2007 Edition, has been updated to include the most current information available, including the addition of metric calculations.
Instructors receive comprehensive training and certification to teach the CPO certification program. These instructors represent every segment in the aquatic industry including operators, health officials, service professionals, builders, manufacturers and property managers. The training these instructors provide has helped protect millions of swimmers by reducing hazards at aquatic facilities.
The CPO certification program requires participation in either a two day class (14-16 hours) of information from the NSPF Pool & Spa Operator Handbook (provided) and local codes taught by an NSPF certified instructor or our new blended format that combines the online Pool Operator Primer and one day of the Pool Operator Fusion class instruction.
The CPO certification program includes pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, automatic feeding equipment,and government requirements.
The CPO certification program requires
an open book written examination and upon passing is valid for five years.
