Please bring a water sample in one week before closing the pool to do a winter balance and pick up your winter chemicals or kit

ALL vinyl liner manufacturers recommend that winter chemicals be added 24 -72 hours PRIOR to shutting off the pump in order to lengthen the life and color of your liner.

*NOTE: All residential closings require pre-payment. Closings will not be performed unless payment has been received in full. (Credit Cards will be charged the day of the closing.)

Included in closings:

  1. Removal of handrails and ladders.
  2. Blowing out of return lines, skimmer lines, heater, pump & filter.
  3. Removal of return fitting and installation of all return plugs after all water has been evacuated.
  4. Removal of pump plugs, filter pressure guages.
  5. Antifreeze will be added skimmer lines and filter body.

Customer responsibilities for closings:

  1. Clean pool. (Brush pool walls, pool bottom & back wash filter.
  2. Check to make sure that all chemical levels are in correct range & and adjust accordingly.
  3. The day before the closing, lower the pool water as follows:
    1. Safety mesh & bag covers: Lower water 1-4" below return jets.
    2. Auto covers: Lower water 2" below skimmer face plates.

    3. *NOTE: A $75 service surcharge will be assessed if water level is not lowered upon our arrival.
  4. Once the water has been lowered, leave the pump running on the main drain with the filter in the recirculate position.
  5. Add winter chemical kit the day before closing after the water level has been adjusted leaving pump running on main drain.
  6. Please place all plugs, skimmer blow out tubes (blue), & mesh covers on pool deck next to stairs.
  7. Threaded plugs are required for plugging your returns. If you do not have enough they will be provided for an additional charge of $4.49 each.
  8. Blue skimmer blowouts are required. If you do not have them, they will be provided for an additional charge of $16.99 each.
  9. We DO NOT! remove pool lights. It is recommended by the manufacturer that they be left in for maximum longevity.
  10. Please check to make sure your outdoor outlets have power. The equipment we use close to your pool requires 120V AC.
